Prof. Dr. Med Suphi ACAR

Prof. Dr. Med Suphi Acar wurde 1953 in Amasya geboren. Er begann 1970 sein Medizinstudium an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Ankara und schloss dieses 1976 ab. Im Jahr 1981 begann er seine Facharztausbildung an der Augenheilkunde-Abteilung des GATA-Ausbildungs- und Forschungskrankenhauses in Ankara und wurde 1985 Facharzt für Augenheilkunde.

Von 1985 bis 1991 war er als Facharzt für Augenheilkunde im Krankenhaus Merzifon tätig. Zwischen 1991 und 1995 arbeitete er als Assistenzprofessor und von 1995 bis 1998 als außerordentlicher Professor am GATA-Ausbildungs- und Forschungskrankenhaus in Haydarpaşa. Von 1998 bis 2000 war er Gründungsfakultätsmitglied an der Yeditepe-Universität, Abteilung für Augenheilkunde, und von 2000 bis 2001 Professor an derselben Universität. Zwischen 2001 und 2012 war er Chefarzt der Augenklinik des Haydarpaşa Numune Ausbildungs- und Forschungskrankenhauses und von 2001 bis 2004 zudem Chefarzt des Krankenhauses. Seit 2016 arbeitet er im Batıgöz Medizinischen Zentrum Altunizade – Istanbul.

Prof. Dr. Med Suphi Acar ist auf Hornhaut, Katarakt- und Refraktive Chirurgie, Kontaktlinsen und Glaukom spezialisiert. Er ist Mitglied der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Katarakt- und Refraktive Chirurgie sowie aktives Mitglied der Türkischen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft in den Einheiten für Hornhaut, Katarakt und refraktive Chirurgie sowie Glaukom. Er besitzt ein Zertifikat der Glaukom-Einheit für die Leitung von Augenbanken.

Derzeit ist er als Facharzt für Augenheilkunde in der Altunizade – Istanbul Filiale der Batıgöz Gesundheitsgruppe tätig.
