Patient Companion Rules

The necessity for a companion is determined by the patient's doctor.

Companions must be qualified to care for the patient. It is requested that companions who are not deemed qualified to care for the patient by the responsible healthcare personnel be replaced.

In case of companion changes, the floor consultant must be informed for system registration.

Companions should not change the patient's bed without the request of the relevant physician or nurse.

Companions must not perform any actions on the patient without the knowledge of the physician and nurse.

Companions must adhere to the rules of the medical center. In the event of rule violations, the individual's companion status will not be accepted.

Companions must keep the items and materials belonging to the medical center organized and clean. A companion who damages institutional property is liable to compensate for the damage.

Companions should use the companion chairs located in the patient rooms to rest.

Companions must not use tobacco or alcohol on the premises of the medical center.

Companions should inform the service nurse if there is any issue regarding the patient.

Companions also have a role in preventing medical center infections. They should wash their hands before and after touching the patient and the surrounding items (bed, pillow, etc.) without touching them first.

Companions should not leave the patient alone in the room and in cases where the patient needs to use the lavatory.

Areas to be used for evacuation in emergencies are indicated on the “Emergency and Evacuation Plan” located behind each door.

You can send your suggestions, thanks, and complaints through our medical center's WhatsApp message line, our website, the Şikayetvar platform, the Call Center notification channel, and by scanning the QR code located on each floor.
