Eyelid surgery is a surgery performed for an aesthetic appearance and a more complete look and facial expression. These surgeries are performed to reshape the eyelids that sag, fall, have excess skin, screen the eyes and create a tired appearance and to achieve an aesthetic appearance.

Why is Eyelid Aesthetics Performed? 

Treatment can be performed for a congenital eyelid problem. The aim of the treatment is to widen the visual field and ensure the comfort of the patient rather than aesthetic concerns.

Which Methods Are Used for Eyelid Aesthetics? 

A treatment method is determined according to the size of the droopy eyelid and the physician's observation. If the amount of sagging is less, the Plexr method is applied. If the amount of sagging is high, surgical blepharoplasty method is applied.  

What is the Plexr Method in Eyelid and Contour Aesthetics? 

To put it in its simplest form; It is a method in which the effect of plasma energy, which is the 4th state of matter, on skin renewal is used. With the device used, the gases in the air are ionized at a high temperature of abu 1800 degrees and send ligninin arcs smaller than half a millimeter to the skin. Thanks to this high-temperature energy, it is only effective on the target tissue, and the target tissue changes from solid to gaseous before the energy can reach deeper tissues. In this way, there is no tissue left to conduct. This is the reason why there is no scar after the operation. It is used in areas where the amount of sagging around the eyes is seen less.  Plexr method is not only used in eyelid aesthetics; it is used in many areas such as tightening the under and around the eyes, removing lines on the lips, treating blemishes, scars and acne, treating stretch marks and tightening the abdomen, treating moles and warts, and removing all facial wrinkles.

How is Plexr Application Performed? 

The treatment method is determined with the detailed examination and guidance of the physician. The area to be treated with local anesthetic creams is numbed. After the area treated with spots is scanned for a short period of 1-2 seconds, the procedure is terminated by applying cold. It is important to act in accordance with the physician's recommendations for cleaning. It is recommended to avoid cosmetic products during the healing process. However, concealer products recommended by the physician can be used. In an average of 10 days, the crusted area begins to fall off. It is recommended to protect yourself from the sun during this period.

How many sessions does it take to heal scars and wrinkles? 

Depending on the size of the scars, it is usually resolved in one session. However, in some cases that spread deep into the skin, it is a safer approach to complete the careful sensitive intervention in two sessions. The same applies to wrinkles. While superficial wrinkles regress in one session, a second session may be required for deep wrinkles.

 

Is Plexr a permanent method? 

In this method, the excess tissue is completely vaporized, it is not possible to come back. Plexr laser is not a method that should be applied routinely. Factors such as the collagen structure of the skin, nutrition and sleep patterns, fluid consumption, smoking affect the permanence of the intervention.

Does the patient feel any pain during the operation?

Before the operation, the intervention area is cleaned with alcohol. Then cream anesthesia is applied. Removing the oil on the skin with alcohol increases the effectiveness of cream anesthesia. In this way, the patient does not feel any pain. 

What should be considered during the recovery period? 

Carbon crusts form on the skin where small arcs are dropped. These crusts fall off spontaneously in about 7-10 days. During this period, patients should be protected from the sun so that there is no difference in tone with the newly developing skin tissue. A special foundation with a protection factor of 50 is applied to help. Edema may develop in the first few days. Therefore, cold compresses are recommended immediately after the intervention and for the first 3 days afterwards. Healing factors are attacking the controlled wound area created. It is like feeding food to a child who has no appetite with external support or cosmetics. With this method, we open the appetite of the skin, the necessary factors are produced by the patient himself and directed to the required area. It is important to drink enough fluids, take vitamin C and avoid smoking.
